I've made a shelter outside the house for three male puppies(3-4months old) about 2 months ago and they have been living there ever since. Mother is dead and these are very common street dogs that don't list in the top 100 list of adoption priority so I doubt they'll be taken by anyone. They are fluffy and chubby dogs because I've been feeding them a lot but I have no plans to take them inside the house. They mostly stay in the property and avoid moving out. I feed them twice a day and change their water bowl twice a day. I also bath them once every two weeks. I'm currently vaccinating them and they are 2 shots in and I'll take them for neutering at 8 months old.
So my concern is that there are a lot of mosquitoes where I live in. There are like 50-60 fat mosquitoes inside their shelter when I check them in the middle of the night and come morning, the tummy of the puppies are filled with red point marks. I'm providing the shelter, food and water because I find them cute but I also find them dirty so no licking or hugs or handshake or entering inside the house. I have a problem with poop, urine and saliva. So, any tips on how to prevent the boys from being mosquito treats?
